Phuket International Cricket Sixes!
The Phuket Sixes was first staged in 2004 and has taken place every year since at it's home next to the sea at Karon Stadium. Karon Beach is literally a cricket hit away from the tournament venue and the Andaman sea often sees players taking a dunk to cool off and relax in between matches.
As with all Asian Cricket Sixes Tour events, the Phuket Sixes offers a full schedule of activities in addition to the main tournament including: Kenny Jackson's Beach Cricket Tournament which is the entertaining warm up event staged the day before the tournament proper on Karon Beach; the Players Welcome Reception under the stars at the Green Man, Phuket's novel mock Tudor style mansion, and the Sixes Gala Awards Dinner which is a hot ticket social function.
The motto of the Phuket Sixes is 'fun in the sun' and this tournament really is one of the most enjoyable cricket tours you could possibly experience, all taking place on the paradise island of Phuket.

 Finals Day of the award winning 2011 Phuket International Cricket Sixes took place today in glorious sunshine and soaring temperatures, interrupted briefly by a tropical downpour at Karon Stadium, Phuket, Thailand.
The thermometer nudged thirty-nine degrees in the shade during the day and the action on the field in Cup, Plate, Bowl and Spoon divisions was just as scorching. Click here to read the full report.
It's Latts the Destroyer at Phuket International Cricket Sixes
Day three of the eighth playing of the Phuket International Cricket Sixes Tournament got underway today in the fine setting of Karon Stadium. Play started a little earlier for the twenty five teams from eight different nations, and they didn't have to wait very long in the day to see something quite dramatic.
Jake Latter of Leeming Top Deck bowled the final over against St Francis De Sales with the batting side still in with a sniff of victory. Having earlier scoring 26 not out, Latter clean bowled four batsmen with consecutive deliveries to win the match and receive a well deserved standing ovation from the crowd. It's All Aboard, as Skylark Top the Tree after Day Two at the Phuket International Cricket Sixes
The team from Kuwait finished top of the tree after their two Preliminary Round games to go forward to compete in the Cup and Plate divisions with the next best eight sides.
The tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Sixes Tour in conjunction with Phuket Cricket Group is in its eighth year and has attracted twenty five teams from eight different countries.
Today's play commenced in scorching temperatures at Karon Stadium with all participants and spectators in good form after a tremendous Opening Party at The Karon Sea Sands. The side representing the resort obviously enjoyed themselves a little too much as they went down to Southern Stars early in the day's action. Twenty-four teams from Eight Countries to Fly in for the 2011 Phuket Sixes
Organisers of the eighth annual Phuket International Cricket Sixes, being staged at Karon Stadium, Phuket, Thailand from 12 – 17th April 2011 announced today that twenty-four teams from eight countries would be flying in to Thailand to compete in the week long tournament.
"Eight is a lucky number and it's the eighth Sixes with clubs from eight different countries competing so we're expecting another wonderful tournament,” said Mr Michael ‘Cat' Maher of organisers the Asian Cricket Sixes Tour. Click here to read the full report.
ACST Phuket Junior Cricket Development Fund Donates 43,000 baht to Support Under 15 Cricket Tour
The ACS(1).png) T Phuket Junior Cricket Development Fund (PJCDF) has donated 43,000 baht (approx US$1,530) to support the Phuket Under 15 teams tour and participation in the 4th Kuala Lumpur Cricket Assoc / Royal Selangor Club International Youth Under 15 Cricket Carnival tournament being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (July 30 - August 1).
This is the first donation made by the Fund which was set up earlier this year to support junior cricket development in Phuket with funds donated by participants of the Phuket International Cricket Sixes.Click here to read the full report.
Gauhati Town Lift the Cup at the 7th Phuket Cricket Sixes
.jpg) Twenty four teams have been competing in this year’s Phuket International Cricket Sixes and Finals Day saw a fantastic culmination of cricket skills, entertainment and action.
The Cup semi finals threw up an absorbing match between CBB Postels and Corner Tigers. CBB Postels reached 54/2 following a good bowling session from the Tigers from Pakistan. It was an exciting run chase though which came down to the last ball, the Postels fighting hard all the way. Five runs was required from the last ball and the Tigers only had one wicket remaining. The unlucky bowler however conceded a wide which left just one run to win for the Tigers (4 runs for a wide in this tournament) which they duly stroked to triumphant cheering from their supporters. "ACST Announce Creation of New Phuket Junior Cricket Development Fund"
.png) The Asian Cricket Sixes tour is delighted to announce that the fundraising efforts, spearheaded by Karyn “Kitten” Brown of the CBBs, for junior cricket development in Phuket at the recent Phuket International Cricket Sixes 2010 (April 14-18) were very successful, and just over THB130,000 (approx US$4,000) was raised during the tournament through the generosity of the participating teams, officials and supporters.
It was heartening for all to see a team of teenage Thai boys organized by local Phuket volunteers, the PCDC Natives, competing in the Sixes for the first time, and doing well. An all Thai cricket team of young local players playing in the tournament was a fantastic first for the Sixes and one that several years ago, when the tournament started, was always hoped for.
